Summary: Beaumont Adult School (BAS) applied for and was granted relief funds under the CARES Act for all Vocational Nursing students enrolled from 3/16/2020 - 9/2/2020. These funds are part of the financial assistance provided through the CARES Act Emergency Financial Aid Grant.

The CARES Act expressly requires that institutions provide the emergency financial aid grants to students "for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus (including eligible expenses under a student's cost of attendance, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and childcare)."

Recommendation: The administration recommends the Board of Trustees of the Beaumont Unified School District accept the Recipient's Funding Certification and Agreement Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economics Security (CARES) Act.
